WHAT IS “A SOLID FOUNDATION”?

The name suggests a comparison between the building of a building and the building of a new life in Christ. In both cases a solid foundation is absolutely essential.

The booklet itself is a day-by-day study guide. If you follow it as it is written, you will complete the study guide in fifty days. Each day you will be given some thoughts, Bible readings and questions. As you think and pray about the content of each day, you will be building a solid foundation for the new life you have in Christ Jesus.

You have heard the story of the death and resurrection of Jesus. You know that His Death took place as a penalty for sins we have committed. You know that His resurrection shows Him to be the greatest power, the Lord of the universe. Because you believe in Him, because your heart has been moved to turn away from your old ways and turn toward Him, because you have stated publicly that you are embracing Him as your Master, and because you have been baptized in His name, the power of God has worked within you. You may not have felt it physically, but God has done something to you and you will never be the same.
